Inaugural Indoor Rowing Competition for Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania
What an incredible morning at the Inaugural Tasmanian Indoor Rowing Championships on Saturday 14th September 2024!
We were thrilled to see over 100 people join us at our Co-Op Toyota showroom, making it an unforgettable event. From start to finish, the energy was palpable, but the final relay was truly something special—the cheers were deafening as teams pushed themselves to the limit. It was a fantastic showcase of community spirit, teamwork, and passion for a great cause.
A huge thank you goes out to all the participants, supporters, our wonderful MC John X, Rowing Tasmania and CEO Sarah Black, and of course, Muscular Dystrophy Tasmania. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised critical funds to support people living with neuromuscular conditions in Tasmania. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, and we’re excited to make it even bigger and better!
Go Orange for Muscular Dystrophy – A Successful Campaign!
From 3rd to 9th June 2024, Co-Op Toyota proudly supported Go Orange for Muscular Dystrophy.
Our dealership was decked out in vibrant orange, and employees donned orange hats and polo shirts, all in the name of raising awareness and making a difference for those affected by neuromuscular conditions.
Throughout the week, we came together for activities like meat trays, sports cards, and the popular 'guess the number of lollies in the jar' competition. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and participation, we made a significant impact!
Thank you to all who donated and helped make Go Orange week a huge success!
Fight MND Big Freeze
In June 2024, we set the challenge to raise at least $2000 for the MND Big Freeze 10. While we didn't quite reach our goal, our General Manager, Richard Stokes, was the bigger person and took on the ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE anyway in a chilly 7 degrees. Well done, Richard, and thank you for taking on this challenge.
Our team at Co-Op Toyota was dedicated to raising funds and awareness for this important cause, and we couldn't have made such an impact without your support. Together, we made a meaningful contribution to the fight against MND.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported us throughout Big Freeze 10. Your generosity and enthusiasm made this event a tremendous success!

Schools Tree Day
Co-Op Toyota continues the School Tree Day tradition every year by teaming up with local schools as part of what has become Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event.
At Co-Op Toyota we 'dig deep' in support of Toyota's involvement in Planet Ark's National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day initiatives.

Schools Tree Day 2024
On Thursday 4th July 2024, we spent a glorious sunny day planting trees with the Grade 2 boys from St Virgil's Primary School for National Tree Day!
Co-Op Toyota donated at $500 Plants of Tasmania Nursery gift voucher to St Virgil's to help purchase new plants for National Tree Day.
We were treated to a cozy bonfire to keep us warm as we planted trees in the labyrinth, originally established by Bushy around 20 years ago. It's a privilege for these boys to watch the trees grow as they regularly attend the senior campus.
